Stephanie Back

Executive Director/Forensic Interviewer

Stephanie is the Executive Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center. She has been a Forensic Interviewer at the agency since its opening in 2009 and also holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Indiana University. She began her career in 2003 at Riley Hospital for Children, located in Indianapolis. Stephanie serves on the board of “ChildFirst/Finding Words Indiana” and is a member of APSAC (American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children).

Kelly Bridges

Associate Director/Forensic Interviewer

Kelly has been working at the Children’s Advocacy Center as a Forensic interviewer since June 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Indiana State University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from Walden University. Kelly became the Associate Director in October 2017. Before coming to the center, she was a kindergarten and first grade teacher for South Dearborn School Corporation located in Dearborn County. Kelly is a member of APSAC (American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children) and trained in Child First forensic interviewing technique.

Cindi Wagner

Child and Family Advocate

Cindi has been the Child and Family Advocate at the Center since 2017. She provides information to families while at the Children’s Advocacy Center and directs them to resources if needed. Cindi greets families as they come to the center and explains the process as well as answering any questions they may have. Before coming to the CAC, Cindi worked for Department of Child Services as a Case Manager for over 30 years.

Christina McHenry

Forensic Interviewer

Christina has been working at the Children’s Advocacy Center as a Forensic Interviewer since April 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Xavier University. Before coming to the center, she was a Family Case Manager with the Indiana Department of Child Services for 2.5 years. Christina is a member of APSAC (American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children) and trained in Child First forensic interviewing technique.

Jesse Whitham

Child and Family Advocate

Jesse has been a Child and Family Advocate at the Center since November 2018. She greets families as they come to the center and explains the process as well as answering questions they may have. Jesse provides information to families while at the Child Advocacy Center and directs them to resources if needed. Before coming to the CAC, Jesse worked for the Department of Child Services as a Case Manager for 10 years.

Shannon Perry

Development Coordinator

Shannon has been with the Children’s Advocacy Center since 2019.  She is the Development Coordinator and is responsible for community awareness and outreach, fundraising, prevention, and marketing.  Shannon graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to the CAC, she worked at South Dearborn Community School Corporation and has worked with children for over 14 years.
