National Organizations

National Children's Alliance
A professional membership organization that provides training, support, technical assistance and leadership on a national level to local children's and child advocacy centers and communities responding to reports of child abuse and neglect.

One with Courage
A national initiative centered around the courage it takes to talk about child sexual abuse and the unique role children's advocacy centers play in providing comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate services to child victims of abuse.

Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network (RAINN)
The nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV)
NRCDV works to improve societal and community responses to domestic violence and, ultimately, prevent its occurrence by providing technical assistance, training and resource development for those wanting to educate themselves and help others on the many issues related to domestic violence in relationships and communities.

Center for Missing and Exploited Children
NCMEC's mission is to find missing children, eliminate child sexual exploitation and prevent child victimization. Working in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, NCMEC is authorized by Congress to perform 19 core functions, including serving as the nation's clearinghouse for information, operating a national, toll-free, 24-hour missing children's hotline and operating the CyberTipline®.

Midwest Regional Children's Advocacy Center (MRCAC)
MRCAC is an agency that provides training to multidisciplinary teams. Their mission is to enhance the knowledge base and expertise of multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) that investigate and treat child sexual abuse including Medical, Law Enforcement, Child Protection, Forensic Interviews, Victim Advocates, and Mental Health professionals.

Prevent Child Abuse America

A good source of information, Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America) has led the way, since 1972, in building awareness, providing education and inspiring hope to everyone involved in the effort to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The nation's resource on the issues of missing and sexually exploited children. The organization provides information and resources to law enforcement, parents, children including child victims as well as other professionals.

National Organization for Victim Assistance
The oldest victim assistance organization in the United States.

Indiana Coalition Against Sexual Assault (INCASA)
INCASA works toward the elimination of sexual assault and provides education, advocacy, and support to professionals, communities, and survivors regarding sexual violence in Indiana.

Federal Agencies

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
OJJDP collaborates with professionals from diverse disciplines to improve juvenile justice policies and practices for juveniles in crisis - from serious, violent, and chronic offenders to victims of abuse and neglect. The Office strives to strengthen the juvenile justice system's efforts to protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and provide services that address the needs of youth and their families.

Indiana Chapter of the National Children's Alliance (INCACS)
The INCACS promotes the development, growth and continuation of children's advocacy centers in the State of Indiana through education and training, mentoring, collaboration, advocacy, development of resources, and legislation.

Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS)
DCS works to protect children from abuse and neglect by partnering with families and communities to provide safe, nurturing, and stable homes.

Indiana Sex and Violent Offender Registry
Organized by counties, a list of registered sexual and violent offenders in Indiana

CASA/GAL -volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA/GAL volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
